ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's and women's cross country teams will return to a regular fall schedule in the coming semester, slating six meets for the 2021 season.

Last year, the Bonnies ran in just one cross country meet, the Atlantic 10 Championships which moved to the spring, due to the pandemic.

After a year off, the annual Little Three Championship returns when Niagara hosts local rivals St. Bonaventure and Canisius at Old Fort Niagara State Park Friday, Sept. 3.

A new event follows the next week, as the Bonnies run in the Doug Watts Invitational in Edinboro, Pa., for the first time Saturday, Sept. 11. The month of September concludes with a return to the Harry Anderson Invitational in Rochester on Saturday, Sept. 25, traditionally a spot for some of the fastest times of the year.

October is highlighted by a return to the prestigious Live in LOU Classic hosted by the University of Louisville Saturday, Oct. 2. Now in its 20th year, the races are some of the highest attended cross country events in the United States, contested at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, the site of multiple national championships. The Bonnies last attended in 2019 with several times posted that day still ranking in the program's 8K top-10.

The final tune-up for the conference championship meet comes Saturday, Oct. 16 as the Bonnies take part in the Canisius Alumni Classic in Buffalo.

The fall season wraps with the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30, which move to Dayton, Ohio this season.

Head coach Bob MacFarlane's teams return 14 women's student-athletes and 16 men's student-athletes with previous collegiate experience on this year's rosters. A total of 47 total student-athletes make up the Bonnies running programs for 2021-22.
