LEESBURG, Va. – Senior William Delaney paced the St. Bonaventure men's cross country team at the Atlantic 10 Championship meet Saturday while Nathan Prisella and Darion Gregory also ran well in the conference title race.
Delaney took the highest finish for a Bonnies men's runner in the A-10 meet in recent memory, crossing the finish line 78th, running the 8K course in a time of 27:04.7. His mile pace was 5:26.
The Bonnies had three top-100 finishers in the A-10 Championship for the first time in at least a decade as Prisella and Gregory took 91st and 93rd overall.
Prisella ran the course in 27:24.9 for a mile pace of 5:30 while Gregory made his A-10 Championship debut just behind with a finishing time of 27:32.6.
The last time the Bonnies had multiple athletes in the top 100 at the Atlantic 10 meet was 2013 when Nick Masiello and Joe Ferencik did so.
The Bonnies finished 14th in the team standings with 430 points. La Salle captured the conference crown with 53 points, besting Saint Joseph's (99), Fordham (104), George Mason (124) and UMass (143).
