Bonnies Take Eighth Out of 36 Teams at Wilmington Invitational

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure men's cross country team turned in a strong effort Friday evening at the JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College, finishing eighth out of 36 teams on hand.

St. Bonaventure registered 287 team points to take eighth. Ohio State took the overall victory with 31 points, ahead of Shawnee State (48), Ashland (136), Wright State (161) and host Wilmington (222).

Nathan Prisella ran the difficult 8K layout surrounding a creek with multiple bridges and muddy terrain in spots with a time of 26:23.1 to lead Bona and finish 32nd overall out of 350 competitors.

William Delaney placed second on the team and 56th overall with a time of 27:02, just ahead of freshman teammate Hayden Barry who was 58th overall at 27:03.8.

Jacob Osswald moved up the Bona leaderboard, taking fourth on the squad at 27:52.3 while Darion Gregory was fifth on the team at 27:56.5.

Ryan Chmiel (28:02.3) and Jack Boltman (28:09.4) rounded out the team's top seven.

The Bonnies are next in competition Nov. 2 at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Fairfax, Va.
