GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure men's cross country team took part in its final competition before the Atlantic 10 Championship Saturday morning, paced by William Delaney in the Gettysburg Invitational.
Delaney ran the 8K course that winds through the Gettysburg National Military Park in a time of 27:24.3 with a mile pace of 5:31. The junior finished 39th overall in the field of 276 runners in the 30th annual running of the event.
Ryan Chmiel took his highest team finish of the year, taking second on the squad with his run of 28:32.8 and 98th overall in the field. Nathan Prisella was right with Chmiel at the finish line, racing across next at 28:34.8.
George Laraia (28:41.8) was fourth on the team while Kyle Haller finished in 29:19.9. Jacob Osswald made his season debut with an effort of 29:54.7 and John Pullano checked in at 29:57.9 to round out the team's top seven.
The Bonnies will host the Tom Hagen Memorial Alumni Race on campus Saturday, Oct. 20 as the program welcomes back all of its alumni for the weekend. The next official race will see the team travel to Richmond, Va. for the Atlantic 10 Championship in two weeks.
