Men’s Cross Country Season Finishes Up in Freezing Conditions at NCAA Northeast Regional

BUFFALO – Freshman Mason Kimbell led a field of six St. Bonaventure University men's cross country runners at the NCAA Northeast Regionals in Buffalo on Friday afternoon at Audubon Golf Course.

The race was run under bone-chilling conditions with temperatures below 30 and feeling much colder with a heavy wind.

Kimbell ran finished 212th out of 252 runners in his first 10K race with a time of 36:12.7. Close behind Kimbell was teammate Donavan Lowe. The sophomore finished with a time of 36:58.6. Of the Bonnies competitors, only senior Levi Malone (37:32.8) had previously competed in a 10K collegiate rate.

St. Bonaventure would finish 37th with 1,171 total points.

The Bonnies conclude their season with a positive outlook for years to come after having nearly all freshmen and sophomores making up the top seven this fall. The Bonnies return to action in the spring when track season begins.
