BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The top seven runners from the St. Bonaventure University cross country team logged their best 8K times of the season as the Bonnies competed at the Paul Short Run Brown Race on Saturday.
As he has all season, reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week William Delaney led the Bonnies with his personal best time of 26:48, bettering his mark of a week ago by 11 seconds.
Fellow freshman Devan Cavanaugh placed second for the Bonnies with a time of 27:16, easily beating his previous best 8K time set last week by over 30 seconds.
Senior Ben Collins recorded his best time of the year with a 27:31 to finish third on the team.
The next four Bona runners were tightly packed in the field as Drew Bille (28:30), Levi Malone (28:35), Kyle Haller (28:51) and George Laraia (28:55) all ran their personal bests with the exception of Haller who was less than a second off his 8K time of a week ago.
Bona takes a week off before heading to the Gettysburg Invitational on Oct. 15.
