NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University freshman William Delaney has been honored as the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week while also earning Rookie of the Week accolades, conference officials announced Tuesday.
Delaney, a freshman from Summit, N.J., recorded an 8K time of 26:59.4 en route to a 36th place finish out of 213 competitors to lead the Bonnies at this past weekend's Harry F. Anderson Invitational held at Roberts Wesleyan College. The Bonnies finished 10th out of 21 teams at the event.
The first-year runner has paced the Bonnies in each of his first three collegiate events while his time this past week places him eighth all-time on the program's individual 8K times list.
