ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's and women's cross country season kicks off Friday, Sept. 2 at the Little Three Invitational in Buffalo. Both the men and the women will compete in seven events through the season, culminating in Atlantic 10 Championships and Northeast Regionals in late fall.
This year's Little Three Invitational is hosted by Canisius as the Bonnies race the Golden Griffs as well as fellow rival Niagara.
Two other events are slated for September – the Monmouth Invitational in New Jersey on Sept. 10 and the annual trip to Rochester for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Sept. 24.
October begins with another date at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University in Pennsylvania on Oct. 1. Another trip to the Keystone State will serve as a warm up for the conference meet as the Bonnies run in the Gettysburg Invitational on Oct. 15.
The Atlantic 10 Championships will again take place in Richmond, Va. on the final weekend of October (Oct. 29) and the Bonnies will finish the year at Northeast Regionals in the Bronx on Nov. 11.
On the women's side, nearly all of St. Bonaventure's top runners return from last year including sophomores Emily Izydorcak, Rachel Guyer and Lindsay Weaver along with juniors Hailey Gattuso and Nicolette DiMura as well as seniors Alexis Young and Courtney Brinsky.
