Men's Cross Country Runs To Finish Of Season at Northeast Regionals

BOSTON – The St. Bonaventure University men's cross country team competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships hosted by Boston College on Friday afternoon, finishing in 37th place as a team.

Senior Joe Ferencik ran the 10K Franklin Park course in a team-best time of 34:08 to pace the Bonnies, taking 197th overall out of 243 runners. That time is good enough for the fourth-fastest 10K run in SBU program history. Ferencik also previously ran the quickest 10K time in SBU history last year (33:40).

Ben Collins came in second among the Brown and White competitors, finishing in a time of 34:52. That time ranks ninth in St. Bonaventure 10K history and also gives Collins his second top 10 time in the program's 10K record books.

Freshman Caleb Johnson was just behind in 35:01 while senior Nick Konotopskyj crossed the finish line in 35:44 and senior Caleb Lecker rounded out the SBU top five with a mark of 36:26.

Also competing for St. Bonaventure, sophomore Justin Ryan turned in a time of 36:33 and sophomore Levi Malone finished the course in 37:05.
