GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure University men's cross country team competed at the UB Stampede Invitational on Saturday afternoon, finishing seventh in cool and rainy conditions.
Senior Joe Ferencik paced the Bonnies with a time of 27:17.4 over the 8K course to take 54th overall. Sophomore Ben Collins followed in 27:37.5 while freshman Caleb Johnson was close behind at 27:45.3.
Pittsburgh took home top team honors with 22 total team points to top host Buffalo's 48. McMaster (77), Toledo (100), Fredonia (160), Canisius (183) and St. Bonaventure (205) completed the team scoring.
"Everybody did well. Everybody improved," head coach Bob MacFarlane said.
The Bonnies are back in action Sept. 26 in Rochester.
