Freshman Shine to Lead Bonnies at Albany Invitational

ALBANY, N.Y.  – Both St. Bonaventure University cross country teams were in action on Saturday at the 45th Annual Albany Invitational.

Freshman Hannah Robinson led the women's team for the fifth straight race, crossing the line of the five-kilometer race in 19:43.90. She placed 62nd in the field of 192 runners. Classmates Emily Steves (19:53.20), Elizabeth Dickinson (21:07.40) and Morgan Mayo (21:07.40), and graduate student Catie Greene (21:16.60), closed out the Bona top 5 to finish 16th out of 23 teams.

In the men's race, freshman Nick Masiello (27:35.30) paced the team with an 81st-place finish out of 185 runners. Rookies Harley Thompson (28:14.60) and Steven Kibbe (28:27.80) finished second and third, respectively, for the Bonnies on the eight-kilometer course.

Sophomore Kyle Wilkinson (29:35.80) and freshman Dan Myers (29:37.30) rounded out the Bonnies' top five. The men's team finished 20th.

The Bonnies take a one week hiatus from competition before traveling to the Atlantic 10 championships in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
