GENEVA, Ohio – Three more medals capped off a strong showing for the St. Bonaventure University men's swimming team at the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championships Saturday evening.
In the 200-backstroke, the Bonnies took two podium spots.
Maciej Danilewski touched the wall in 1:44.28 to win the silver medal while Tjaard Krusch turned in a time of 1:45.18 to earn the bronze medal. Danilewski finishes the weekend with three silver medals and one bronze.
Krusch caps off his fourth Atlantic 10 Championships with two silvers and two bronze medals, bringing his total medal count to 12 for his career.
Thomas qualified for the 200-backstroke "B" Final, finishing in 11th overall with a time of 1:50.24.
Lowe and Ruffolo each swam in the "B" Final of the 100-freestyle, placing 10th and 12th, respectively. Lowe clocked in at 45.57 while Ruffolo swam a 45.79.
George Kalletta and Jaxon Kaster scored more points for the Bonnies in the 200-butterfly "B" Final. Kalletta earned 10th place with a time of 1:49.14 while Kaster finished in 16th, clocking in at 1:53.38.
The Bonnies finished in fifth-place overall with 457 points, finishing just 11.5 points behind fourth-place UMass' 468.5 points. George Washington was crowned Atlantic 10 Champions with 828.5 points. George Mason finished in second with 564 points and Davidson tallied 503.5 points to round out the top three.
