Krusch Selected To Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University men's swimming junior Tjaard Krusch has earned selection to the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Krusch carries a cumulative GPA of 3.637 as a sports studies major.

A native of Dorsheim, Germany, Krusch helped lead the Bonnies to a third-place finish at the 2020 Atlantic 10 Championships by winning four medals. The junior captured two golds, one silver and one bronze medal to bring his career total to eight medals.

Krusch set the Atlantic 10 and St. Bonaventure program record in the 200-IM, taking gold with a time of 1:45.73. He also won gold as a member of the 400-medley relay team with Guido Balderrama, Nick Burdo and Hylton Collinson, clocking in at 3:14.54.

The junior also won a silver medal in the 100-backstroke and took home bronze in the 200-backstroke.

As a freshman, Krusch was named Most Outstanding Rookie Performer at the 2018 A-10 Championships.
