Bonnies Travel To Cornell For Dual Meet

ST. BONAVENTURE at CORNELL
Saturday, Nov. 9 – 1:00 p.m.
Cornell University – Ithaca, N.Y.

The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team heads to Ithaca, N.Y. this Saturday for a dual meet with Cornell University. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, with the diving team heading to Ithaca College for their events.

LAST TIME OUT
The latest action for the Bonnies came at the Atlantic 10 Classic, hosted by the Spire Institute. Bona competed against Atlantic 10 opponents La Salle, George Mason and Saint Louis in a dual meet format. The Bonnies were defeated by La Salle (241-110), George Mason (267.5-85.5) and Saint Louis (182-162).

COLLINSON PACING THE TEAM
Senior Hylton Collinson scored his sixth individual victory of the season last weekend at the Atlantic 10 Classic, capturing first place in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:07.58. The Johannesburg, South Africa native also earned a third-place effort in the 100-breaststroke, ringing in at 58.33. Collinson helped grab a fourth-place finish in the 400-medley relay as well, right behind junior Tjaard Krusch who is tied with Collinson with six individual wins on the season. The Brown and White were able to bring home a third-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay, led by junior Marcus Swartfager who touched the wall at 1:26.10. He was followed by teammates Joseph MalafronteWilliam Lowe, and Nick Burdo. Sophomore Matthew Bielobradek was strong on the diving boards, taking home third in the 1-meter dive with a total score of 287.95. Bielobradek also took fourth in the 3-meter dive (241.55).

UP NEXT
The Bonnies are back in action Friday, Nov. 15 when they host Canisius for the first home meet of the season. Diving is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. while the swimming events will commence at 4:00 p.m. at the Reilly Center Pool.
