Bonnies Picked To Finish Fourth In Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team was picked to finish fourth in the 2019-20 Atlantic 10 preseason poll, conference officials announced Thursday.

St. Bonaventure earned 40 points in this year's preseason poll, just one point behind third place La Salle.

The Bonnies earned a third-place finish at last year's A-10 Swimming and Diving Championships just behind champion George Washington and George Mason. Senior Hylton Collinson brought home a silver and a bronze medal for the Brown and White while junior Tjaard Krusch also captured a silver medal.

Bona has finished in the top three at the Atlantic 10 Championships in 24 out of the last 27 years, including championships in 1993, 1999, 2006, 2013 and 2014.

The 2019-20 roster is similar to last year's team which graduated just two seniors. The Bonnies added six swimmers and one diver to the squad this season.

The Bonnies women's swimming and diving team looks to improve from last year's finish at the A-10 Championships, welcoming four swimmer and a diver to this year's roster. The Bona women were picked to finish ninth in this year's A-10 preseason poll.
