Bonnies Head To Canisius For Dual Meet Saturday

Saturday, Nov. 10 – 3:00 p.m.
Buffalo, N.Y. – Flickinger Center Pool at Erie CC

The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team travels to Canisius Saturday afternoon for a dual meet. The meet is set to start at 3:00 p.m. at Erie Community College.

The Bonnies last competed at the Atlantic 10 Classic in Geneva, Ohio on Oct. 20. Bona was defeated by Saint Louis, George Mason and La Salle. Maciej Danilewski led the Bonnies with two second place finishes in the 100 and 200-backstroke. In the Bonnies first meet of the season at the Justin Jennings Memorial Invitational, three Bona swimmers set meet records. Ethan Carr set a record in the 400-IM, Tjaard Krusch set a new mark in the 200-backstroke and newcomer Hylton Collinson grabbed a meet record in the 200-breaststroke.

The Golden Griffs enter Saturday's meet with wins over Rochester, Geneseo and Alfred. Canisius was picked to finish fourth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason rankings. In Canisius' last meet against Alfred, the Griffs came out on top, 174-112. Lucas Kennedy won two individual events and a relay event, pacing the Golden Griffins.

The St. Bonaventure men's diving team will compete next at the Navy Diving Invitational Nov. 15-17. The Bonnies men's swimming team returns to the pool Nov. 30-Dec. 2 at the Zippy Invite at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
