Sunday, Oct. 28 – 9:00 a.m.
Spire Institute – Geneva, Ohio

The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team travels to the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Classic. The meet begins on Saturday, featuring two separate sessions. The first session begins at 11:00 a.m. and the second starts at 6:00 p.m. The conclusion of the meet is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Bonnies last competed Oct. 7-8 at the Justin Jennings Memorial Invitational at Colgate. Bona won the invitational with a team score of 1,268, ahead of UMass which was second with 1,020.5 team points. Colgate and Le Moyne finished third and fourth respectively. The men's team did not hold their scheduled dual meet with Colgate Oct. 20 due to the Colgate men's swimming and diving team being suspended for the fall semester. The Bonnies held a intrasquad meet as a replacement.

Three swimmers set meet records at the Justin Jennings Memorial Invite three weekends ago. Sophomore Ethan Carr broke the first meet record of the day for the Bonnies, swimming a time of 4:10.49 in the 400-IM. Newcomer Hylton Collinson set the meet record in the 200-breaststroke, clocking in at 2:08.92. Tjaard Krusch, the reigning Most Outstanding Rookie Performer of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships, broke the meet record in the 200-backstroke with a time of 1:53.41.

The Bonnies are off until Saturday, Nov. 10 on the road at Canisius. The meet will take place at Erie Community College and is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
