Bona's Rising Sophomore Jason Green Wins Chattanooga Rat Race Open Water Event

St. Bonaventure rising sophomore Jason Green already has a big win to his name this summer.

Green earned the overall victory in the Chattanooga Rat Race on June 2.

Green won the 4.5-mile open water event in the Tennessee River with a time of 1:13:18.6. The Chattanooga Rat Race is the US Masters Swimming (USMS) Dixie Zone Open Water Championship Meet. A total of 72 competitors finished this year's race.

Green swam in the 200-breaststroke at the Atlantic 10 Championships this past year as well as in the consolation finals of the 400-IM. He earned his first collegiate victory in the 1000-freestyle at Niagara (10:06.26).
