GENEVA, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team finished the first day of action at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships with 66 points, tied for first place.
Opening day at the championships saw just two events, and the Bonnies made the most of their opportunities.
The Brown and White turned in another strong performance in the 800-freestyle relay as the team of Nick Burdo, White, Shaknazarov and Jack Hughes timed in at 6:37.10, trailing the second-place team by just over a half-second.
Thursday's full day of action will include prelims and finals for the 500-freestyle, 200-IM, 50-freestyle and 1-meter diving, along with the 200-freestyle relay.
