#Bonnies Remain in Sixth After Day Two in Akron

AKRON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team remained in sixth place after the second day of action at the Akron Zippy Invite with 428 points.

The Bona relay teams performed well, as the 200-medley team of Matt Taccard, Matt Goettler, Michael White and David Shakhnazarov came in ninth at 1:32.21. In the 800-freestyle relay, the team of White, Shakhnazarov, Ben Galinski and Jack Hughes finished 10th at 6:57.72. The team of Joseph Malafronte, Jordan Powers, Alex Szakelyhidi and Jack Pietrucha followed closely in 12th at 7:08.32.

Five Bonnies swam the 100-backstroke event. Matt Taccard led the way as he finished 12th at 51.37.

The Bonnies will complete the invitational­­ on Sunday with the finals beginning at 4:00 p.m.
