Bona men tied for second after start of A-10 Championships

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The men's swimming and diving team finished tied for second place after the first day of the 2011 Atlantic10 Swimming and Diving Championships.  The Bonnies and rival Xavier each earned 64 points, putting them behind Massachusetts who leads the scoreboard with 80 points.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of junior Peter Koenig and seniors Kevin Murphy, David Kundzik, and Chris Baker took third place with a collective time of 1:30.76. 

The 800-yard freestyle relay team also took third.  Freshman James Martin, sophomore Ethan Rowan, junior Mike Dansa and Murphy swam a combined time of 6:45.33.

The championships continue Thursday morning at the Flickinger Athletic Center with trials at 10:30 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m.
