AMHERST, Mass. - The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at Massachusetts Friday afternoon in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
The Minutemen got on the board 17 minutes into the first period when Tim Kitchell's header beat Bona freshman keeper Jonathan Blanchard. The Minutemen would score three second-half goals to seal the victory over the Bonnies.
The Bonnies got outshot 21-12 on the day. Sophomore forward Tom Burkett led St. Bonaventure with three shots, while four other Bona players tallied two apiece.
Blanchard played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded 11 saves. Massachusetts keeper Colin Burns totaled five saves on the day.
The loss dropped the Bonnies to 7-8-1 on the season and 3-6 in A-10 play. The Minutemen improved to 8-7-2 overall and 5-2-2 in conference play.
The Bonnies return to action at Rhode Island on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m.
