ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - George Washington snapped a ten-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over St. Bonaventure in an Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer game on Sunday at McGraw-Jennings Field.

The Colonials got on the board in the 10th minute when Ben Mortimer scored off a penalty kick. George Washington's Jon Allen netted the other two goals for the Colonials in the 13th and 72nd minutes.

The Bonnies got their lone goal on the day from junior Andy Garcia in the 79th minute. Konrad Paszkowski was credited with the assist on the play.

The Colonials out shot the Bonnies 13-9.

George Washington keeper Derek Biss recorded three saves, while Bona senior Sean Eyde had four saves.

The Bonnies were forced to play with ten men for 80 minutes of the game, after junior Steve Roach received a red card in the 10th minute of play.

The loss dropped the Bonnies to 6-6-1 overall and 2-4 in Atlantic 10 play. George Washington improved to 2-8-3 overall and 1-3-2 in conference play.

St. Bonaventure will return to action on Friday, Oct. 22, when they travel to Saint Joseph's.
