Bonnies drop overtime game to Xavier

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure fell to Xavier 1-0 in overtime Sunday, Oct. 3 at McGraw-Jennings Field.

The game remained scoreless until Xavier's Jon Enders netted the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute. Enders' header was assisted by Matt Kmetz and Chris Wolever.

The Musketeers outshot the Bonnies 10-8. Sophomore forward Kevin Omokhua led the Bonnies with four shots, followed by classmate Phil Amahazion with two.

Senior keeper Sean Eyde recorded four saves on the day, while Xavier keeper Brian Schaeper tallied two.

The loss dropped the Bonnies to 5-3-1 overall and 1-1 in Atlantic 10 play. Xavier improved to 3-7 and 1-1 conference play.

St. Bonaventure returns to action on Friday, Oct. 8 at McGraw-Jennings Field. The Bonnies host Fordham at 3 p.m.
