ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure beat Niagara 2-0 on Wednesday at McGraw-Jennings Field to remain unbeaten on the year.

The game remained scoreless through the first 69 minutes until an own goal with 21 minutes left when Bona freshman John Darrah crossed the ball and it went in the net off the leg of a Purple Eagles defender.

St. Bonaventure senior midfielder Misael Pedraza netted the second goal off a free kick in the 72nd minute.

Bonnies senior keeper Sean Eyde got his first shutout of the year as he recorded four saves. St. Bonaventure recorded 12 shots to Niagara's 10.

The Bonnies moved to 4-0-1 on the year. The Purple Eagles remain winless, now at 0-4.

The Bonnies will host Canisius on Saturday, September 18, at 2 p.m.
