Nwafornso Signs Professional Contract With Forge FC

HAMILTON, Ontario – Former St. Bonaventure University men's soccer player Kosi Nwafornso has signed a professional contract to play with Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League.

Nwafornso, a 2019 graduate from St. Bonaventure, made 55 career starts at forward in 66 games. As a senior in 2018, Nwafornso tallied a career-high 22 points, scoring a career-best nine goals and added four assists.

In four seasons with the Bonnies, Nwafornso was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region (2018), Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team (2018), Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team (2018) and Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team (2015).

Nwafornso is the second former St. Bonaventure player to sign with Forge FC as former teammate Luke Iacobellis signed a developmental contract in 2019. Nwafornso also spent time with Colorado Pride Switchbacks, scoring three goals and adding an assist in nine appearances.

Forge FC's season is set to begin June 27 against Valour FC.
