Currey Earns Atlantic 10 All-Academic Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer senior Shea Currey has been selected to the 2021 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team, conference officials announced Wednesday.

Currey is a marketing major that carries a cumulative 3.838 GPA. He was also selected to the A-10 All-Academic Team in 2019. He is one of 11 players to be honored, joining other selections from Davidson, Fordham, George Washington, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis and VCU.

It is the third straight season the men's soccer program has landed a student-athlete on the All-Academic Team as Kosi Nwafornso earned honors in 2018.

A native of Liverpool, England, Currey finished his St. Bonaventure career with 52 games played and made 37 starts as a four-year member of the Bonnies. For his career, Currey has seven goals and five assists.

As a senior this season, Currey led the Bonnies with four goals and a total of eight points. Currey scored in each of the first three games this year for the Brown and White and added another score in a contest against Saint Louis later in the season.
