NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Two members of the St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team have received recognition for their accomplishments with the announcement of the Atlantic 10 All-Conference teams Thursday afternoon.
A native of Vaughan, Ontario, Pulla made 10 starts in his debut season with the Bonnies and appeared in all 16 games. He led the Bonnies with three assists on the season and added two goals for seven points, ranking second on the team.
Pulla registered points in four out of the last six games for the Bonnies. He scored his first career goal on the road at Dayton Oct. 12 and followed that with a pair of assists in the Bonnies 3-1 victory over George Mason on Oct. 19. The freshman added an assist against Davidson Oct. 23 and found the back of the net in a 4-2 win at Howard Oct. 29.
Currey, a native of Liverpool, England, was a key part of the Bona midfield this season starting in all 15 games he appeared in. He tallied two goals and two assists for the Bonnies this year for a total of six points, good for third on the team. Currey assisted on the game-winning goal on the road at UMBC Sept. 8 for his first points of the season. The junior also scored the game-winning goal in the Bonnies 4-2 win at Howard Oct. 29.
Currey is a marketing major and carries a 3.895 cumulative GPA. Currey has played in 43 career games and has made 28 starts.
