DAVIDSON, N.C. – Senior Jacob Dyck's goal was not enough as the St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team fell to Davidson, 2-1, Wednesday evening on the road.
Dyck's needed just seven minutes to give the Bonnies (4-10, 1-6) the early lead. Freshman Joshua Pulla found the senior in the middle of the box and Dyck slotted it home, giving the Bonnies the 1-0 lead. For Pulla, that assist marked his third assist in the last two contests.
Davidson's Henry Howell netted the equalizer in the 39th minute, sending the game to halftime tied 1-1.
Howell put the Wildcats (3-9-2, 2-4) ahead for good with his second goal of the contest in the 51st minute, giving Davidson the 2-1 edge.
Dyck and Isaac Boamah each had four shots on the night to pace the Bona offense.
Freshman goalkeeper Justyn Sandhu made his first start in net since Sept. 15 and made two saves in net.
The Bonnies conclude their 2019 road schedule with a trip to Howard Tuesday, Oct. 29. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
