Bonnies Return To A-10 Play; Host George Mason For Senior Day

The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team returns home on Saturday for an Atlantic 10 matchup against George Mason. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies last played Tuesday, Oct. 15 on the road at Army. After going down 1-0 early in the contest, the Brown and White responded with three goals of their own from Julius Stefansson, Isaac Boamah and Peter Massaquoi to leave West Point with a 3-2 victory. Goalkeeper Trevor Wilson made six saves in net.

CAREER FIRST
More career firsts for the Bonnies came against Army on Tuesday with two more players scoring their first career goals. Stefansson netted his first career goal to tie the game at 1-1 while Massaquoi scored the game-winning goal in the 58th minute of the contest. They join Joshua Pulla, Luca Nicastro and Francesco Caorsi in earning their first points wearing the Brown and White.

SENIOR DAY
Before the game, the Bonnies will honor their six seniors: Jacob Dyck, Jon-Michael Perkins, Antonio Simora, Nicholas Mazzola, Kyle Cunningham and Aidan Conaghan.

Dyck is a four-year member of the men's soccer team. He has appeared in 55 games and made 38 starts over his four seasons with the Bonnies, scoring five goals and adding two assists. As a sophomore, Dyck was key in the Bonnies A-10 tournament berth, as he kept the team alive in the playoff race with a game-winning goal in double-overtime against La Salle.

Perkins is a four-year member of the men's soccer team. He has made 47 career starts and has played in 61 games over four seasons. As a junior, Perkins scored the game-winning goal in the closing seconds against Duquesne.

Simora is a three-year member of the Bonnies soccer program. He is a member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and is a health science major.

Mazzola is a four-year member of the men's soccer program and has appeared in 55 career games, making 17 starts. He has been a part of 10 shutouts over his four seasons and played over 800 minutes as a sophomore.

Cunningham is a three-year member of the men's soccer program. Earlier this season, he made a career high seven saves at Fordham.

Conaghan is a four-year member of the men's soccer team and has played in 17 career games. He has appeared in 11 games this season, making three starts. He is a three-time member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and is a journalism and mass communications major.

THE OPPONENT: GEORGE MASON
George Mason is 4-8-1 overall and 3-1 in Atlantic 10 play. They are coming off a 1-0 double overtime win over Davidson last Saturday.  The Patriots are led by Tunde Akinlosotu with three goals and five assists on the season. In goal, Brison Moorhead has posted a 1.44 goals against average which ranks third in the A-10.  

NEXT UP
The Bonnies venture back out on the road with a trip to North Carolina to take on Davidson Wednesday, Oct. 23. That game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
