The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army in a non-conference matchup Tuesday, Oct. 15. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies last played Saturday, Oct. 12 on the road at Dayton. The Flyers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Bonnies were defeated, 6-2. Goalkeeper Trevor Wilson made eight saves in net. Freshman Joshua Pulla found the net while Fredrik Hansen picked up his second goal of the season.
THE OPPONENT: ARMY
Army enters Tuesday's contest with an overall record of 2-5-3 and 0-2-3 in the Patriot League. The Black Knights most recently played to a 1-1 draw with No. 19 Navy last Friday, Oct. 11. Our game with Army marks the first meeting between the two teams. Army was last victorious Sept. 17 against Mount St. Mary's, 1-0. Keenan O'Shea leads Army with eight points and four goals. Senior Justin Stoll has made eight starts in net, making 24 saves on the season.
Joshua Pulla and Cuneyt Vardar both have notched their first career goals for the Brown and White this season. Vardar, a sophomore from Webster, N.Y., found the back of the net in the season opener against FIU while Pulla scored against Dayton on the road last Saturday.
