The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team travels to Dayton to take on the Flyers Saturday, Oct. 12. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies dropped another one-goal game Oct. 9 at the Marra Athletics Complex, falling to George Washington, 1-0. The Bonnies kept the Colonials off the board until the 74th minute when Tom Cooklin found the back of the net. Junior goalkeeper Trevor Wilson made five stops in net on the night.
THE OPPONENT: DAYTON
Dayton enters Saturday's contest with an overall record of 5-7 and 1-2 in the Atlantic 10. The Flyers have dropped three straight contests, including a 3-2 double overtime loss to George Mason and a 2-1 overtime loss against VCU. Dayton was the winner of four games in a row from Sept. 17-28 while not allowing a goal during that span. Also during their four-game win streak, the Flyers took down No. 20 West Virginia, 2-0. Jonas Fjeldberg leads Dayton with six goals while Toluwalase Oladeinbo has five scores for the Flyers.
The Bonnies are 4-1 overall since 2012 including a 1-0 win last season at the Marra Athletics Complex. The last time the Bonnies visited Dayton in 2017, it was all Flyers as they won 6-1. The all-time series record is tied 5-5-1 dating back to the two team's first meeting in 2004.
The Bonnies are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 15 on the road at Army West Point. The following Saturday, Oct. 19 the Bonnies will host George Mason on Senior Night.
