ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University head coach Kwame Oduro has announced the 2019 schedule, highlighted by six home games at the Marra Athletics Complex.
The season officially kicks off with a trip to the Sunshine State for match-ups against Florida International (Aug. 30) and Florida Atlantic (Sept. 1).
After their visit to Florida, the Bonnies head to Maryland for contests against Navy (Sept. 6) and UMBC (Sept. 8).
The Bonnies will make their home debut Sept. 15 against Hartford as part of a three-game homestand. In game two of the homestand, Bona welcomes Little Three rival Canisius for a match under the lights Sept. 17. The Brown and White open Atlantic 10 play against VCU Sept. 21 to close out the three-game homestand.
The Bonnies will also host A-10 foes George Washington (Oct. 9), George Mason (Oct. 19) and La Salle (Nov. 2) during conference action.
Other road non-conference match-ups include trips to Niagara (Sept. 24), Army West Point (Oct. 15) and Howard (Oct. 29).
SBU will travel to play at Fordham (Sept. 28), Duquesne (Oct. 5), Dayton (Oct. 12) and Davidson (Oct. 23) as part of A-10 play.
The Bonnies are looking to advance to the Atlantic 10 Tournament for the second time in three seasons. Bona returns 20 players from last year's roster, including five starters.
