Nwafornso Earns Atlantic 10 Postseason Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer senior Kosi Nwafornso earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team and Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Team honors, officials announced Thursday.

Nwafornso, an Abuja, Nigeria native, led the Bonnies in all offensive categories this season. He registered nine goals and four assists for a total of 22 points, the most points for a Bona player in a single season since Emmett O'Connor in 2013.

The senior forward finished tied for first in the Atlantic 10 with four game-winning goals and was tied for third in the A-10 with his nine goals. Nwafornso's 22 points put him sixth in the A-10 rankings.

Nwafornso was a perfect 5-for-5 from the penalty spot on the year as well. He was one of two Division I players to successfully convert five penalty kicks this season.

He also earned Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week honors on Oct. 30.

Nwafornso closes out his St. Bonaventure career ninth on the all-time scoring list with 18 career goals.
