Boamah Named To Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer freshman Isaac Boamah has been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, officials announced Thursday.

Boamah, a Kumasi, Ghana native, provided the Bonnies with energy on the outside this season. He saw action in 14 contests and started 11 games in his debut campaign.

The midfielder tallied one goal and two assists on the year for the Brown and White. He assisted on the game-winning goal against an Albany team receiving votes in the national Top 25 rankings for his first career point. Boamah scored his first career goal with the game-winner in the Bonnies' A-10 opener on the road at UMass.

Boamah's selection marks the fourth straight season the Bonnies have had a player named to the All-Rookie Team. Boamah joins Nicola Bonso (2017), Paul Afful (2016) and Kosi Nwafornso (2015) as Bonnies players to be honored.
