Bonnies To Celebrate Senior Day Saturday Against Rhode Island

The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team hosts Atlantic 10 foe Rhode Island Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Marra Athletics Complex. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.

The Bonnies defeated the Dayton Flyers, 1-0, Wednesday night behind sophomore Nicola Bonso's first goal of the season. Bonso received a ball into the box off a corner kick from Fredrik Hansen in the 38th minute to put the Bonnies on top for good.

Prior to Saturday's game against the Rams, the Bonnies will honor its nine seniors for their hard work and dedication to the St. Bonaventure men's soccer program – Tyler Elliott, Luke Iacobellis, Kwame Opoku, Remi Dujardin, Isaiah Wilson, Nikko Richards, Anthony Sileo, Anthony Gaglianese and Kosi Nwafornso will all be honored.

Tyler Elliott from Vestal, N.Y. Tyler is a two-year member of the soccer program and made his first career start against St. Francis (Pa.) on Sept. 19, making two saves. Last year, Tyler was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Tyler played two seasons at SUNY Broome, posting a 15-2 record before transferring to St. Bonaventure.

Luke Iacobellis from Toronto, Ontario. Luke is a four-year member of the men's soccer team and has made 41 career starts in net. As a junior, he posted a 1.36 goals against average which is the third lowest mark in single season history for the Bonnies and made a career high 81 saves. Luke currently ranks fourth in program history in career goalkeeper wins with 16. He also has 12 career shutouts.

Kwame Opoku from Toronto, Ontario. Kwame is a three-year member of the soccer team, playing in 44 career games and starting in 24. As a junior, he had two assists including an assist in the Bonnies 2-1 win over then No. 22 VCU. Also as a junior, Kwame registered a career-high 108 minutes played in a double overtime contest against Houston Baptist. He was named team captain this season and has started in all nine games.

Remi Dujardin from North Point, Hong Kong. Remi is a four-year member of the men's soccer program. He has played in 63 career games and has made 56 starts. As a junior, Remi scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 double overtime win against Robert Morris for his first career goal. Earlier this year, Remi represented his home country of Hong Kong in the 2018 Asian Games. He is a three-time Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree.

Isaiah Wilson from Ajax, Ontario. Isaiah is a four-year member of the men's soccer program and has made 55 starts in 64 career games played. He has four career goals, all game-winning goals and has one assist. Three of his four game-winning goals have come against Atlantic 10 opponents in his sophomore and junior seasons. He has missed only 10 minutes of game time this season.

Nikko Richards from Victor, N.Y. Nikko is a four-year member of the soccer team and has played in 42 career games. As a redshirt-freshman, Nikko scored his first career goal for the Bonnies against NJIT. He assisted on the game-winning goal against Duquesne last season to keep St. Bonaventure's postseason hopes alive.

Anthony Sileo from Mahwah, N.J. Anthony is a four-year member of the soccer team and made 49 starts in 59 career games. As a junior, Anthony played 90 or more minutes 12 times including the team's final six games, accumulating over 1,500 minutes played.

Anthony Gaglianese from Fairport, N.Y. Anthony is a four-year member of the men's soccer program and has made 48 career starts. As a defender, he has one goal and two assists in 61 career games played. Anthony scored his first career goal on a free kick against Saint Joseph's. As a junior, he assisted on the game-winning goal in the season opener against Bucknell.

Kosi Nwafornso from Abuja, Nigeria. Kosi is a four-year member of the soccer program and has made 47 career starts. Kosi has scored 14 career goals and has five assists for a total of 33 career points. As a freshman, he was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. This season, Kosi leads the team with five goals, including three game-winning goals and has added two assists. He has five career game-winning goals for the Brown and White.

The Bonnies return to action Wednesday, Oct. 10 on the road at George Washington at 2:00 p.m. SBU returns home Saturday, Oct. 13 for a matchup with Saint Louis at 7:00 p.m.
