The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team has a pair of games on deck this week beginning Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 6:00 p.m. when the Bonnies welcome the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash to the Marra Athletics Complex. The Bonnies travel to Little Three rival Canisius Saturday for a contest slated for 7:00 p.m. This week's games will be Bona's final tune-ups before starting Atlantic 10 play next week.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies defeated Niagara, 1-0, Saturday at the Marra Athletics Complex. Senior forward Kosi Nwafornso was awarded a penalty kick after he was fouled in the box following a through ball down the middle of the field from Shea Currey. Nwafornso buried the penalty shot in the back of the net, giving the Bonnies a 1-0 lead they would not relinquish.

NWAFORNSO ON FIRE
Senior Kosi Nwafornso has been outstanding this season. The Abuja, Nigeria native has three goals in as many games and they are all game-winning goals. He has been involved on every goal scored by the Bonnies this season, scoring four and assisting on the second goal in the 2-0 win against Hartford. Nwafornso leads the Atlantic 10 and sits fifth in the NCAA in game-winning goals with his three game-winners goals. He also ranks second in the A-10 in goals and third in points.

SCORELESS STREAK
For 449:29 the Bonnies defense has not allowed a goal that has not come from a set piece. It has been 401:52 since the Bonnies have allowed a score at all. Luke Iacobellis has been credited with four straight shutouts, playing all 470 minutes in net this season. Iacobellis ranks fourth in the NCAA and second in the Atlantic 10 with four shutouts. Also playing all 470 minutes this season is senior defender Isaiah Wilson, who is the only other Bonnies player to do so.

ABOUT ST. FRANCIS (PA.)
St. Francis (Pa.) enters Wednesday's contest with a 3-3 record. The Red Flash have wins over UTRGV, Bucknell and Duquesne early in the year. After posting a 10-8 record a season ago, SFU was picked to finish fourth in the Northeast Conference preseason poll. The Bonnies hold a 14-6-1 advantage in the all-tie series. Senior Mario Mastrangelo leads the Red Flash with three goals and two assists.

ABOUT CANISIUS
Little Three rival Canisius comes into the Saturday with a 1-3-1 record. The Golden Griffs have played a tough schedule to begin the season, including a hard fought 3-2 loss at then No. 5 Michigan State. Saturday marks the first home game of the season for Canisius. The Griffs finished with a 12-4-4 record last year, but fell to Rider in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament. They were picked as the MAAC regular season champions in this year's preseason poll.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies have played both St. Francis (Pa.) and Canisius almost every year in dating back to the 2014 season. Over that span, Canisius has gotten the upper hand in the matchup winning the last seven contests between the two teams. The Bonnies last win against Canisius was a 2-1 victory in 2010. All-time, the Bonnies have a 25-17-7 edge against Canisius. SBU took down St. Francis (Pa.) last season, 1-0, after Nwafornso scored the game-winner. Nicola Bonso added the assist on the goal. The Bonnies lead the all-time series against the Red Flash, 14-6-1.
