DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton started fast and never looked back on the way to a 6-1 victory over the St. Bonaventure men's soccer team on Saturday night.
The Flyers struck for the game's first goal in the 12th minute, then scored back-to-back in the 26th and 29th minutes to take complete control.
St. Bonaventure freshman defender Nicola Bonso was the bright spot for the Bonnies as he notched his first career goal. Bonso collected a cross from Kwame Opoku and took his shot from the penalty kick spot in the box, burying his effort into the net for the goal.
Redshirt freshman Kyle Cunningham made his first career start for the Bonnies (4-8-0), making seven saves in net.
The Bonnies will have another road contest Wednesday night at Duquesne in Pittsburgh. That match is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m.
