HIGH POINT, N.C. – The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team lost its second game at the Elon/High Point Classic, 4-2 to High Point on Sunday afternoon.

The Bonnies' two goals came from Kosi Nwafornso and Jacob Dyck. Both were their first goals of the season; Dyck's was the first of his career.

Bona keeper Luke Iacobellis saved five of the nine shots on goal he faced.

Nwafornso's goal gave the Bonnies and early lead as SBU broke the scoreless tie and scored 34:22 minutes into the game. Isaiah Wilson fed Nwafornso the ball, and he then rifled a shot from 22 yards out that hit the side netting.

The lead would be short lived as High Point knotted the score at 1-1 on a penalty kick at the 38:27 mark.

Early in the second half, HPU took the lead with a goal at the 50:05 mark.

16 minutes later, after a scrum in front of the net, Jacob Dyck rifled a loose ball into the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2.

But High Point would then open the game up with two goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.

The Bonnies fired six total shots, two of which came from Nwafornso while Kyle Kleckner, Noel Orozco, Kieran Toland and Dyck all had a shot a piece.

The Bonnies (0-3-1) will have a week between games as they compete next Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Marra Athletics Complex. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
