@BonniesMSoccer Drops First Game at Elon/High Point Classic

ELON, N.C. – The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team fell at Elon, 6-0, on Friday evening in game one of the Elon/High Point Classic.

The Elon Phoenix managed 20 shots on goal, and the sophomore Bona goalkeeper Luke Iacobellis saved 13 of them. 

Elon took a 2-0 lead into the half, scoring its first goal 18:53 minutes into the game and grabbing goal number two just before half at the 43:21 mark. The Phoenix scored four more goals in the second half, two of which came in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Noel Orozco, Paul Afful, Jacob Dyck and Isaiah Wilson recorded one shot each, with Orozco and Wilson's shots going on net.

The Bonnies will play their second and final game of the Elon/High Point Classic against the second host team of the tournament, High Point, on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
