The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team will begin its 2016 season at Hartwick on Friday.

Head coach Kwame Oduro is back for his second full season at the helm.

Of the 29 players on the Bonnies' roster, 18 are returning with 11 players set to make their debuts. Leading the way is Kosi Nwafornso, who was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team last season after pacing the team with four goals in his freshman campaign.

Junior Kieran Toland is also back for the Brown and White. He scored two goals and earned two assists last season. He had a hand in both Bona wins in 2015, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over NJIT (Aug. 28) and assisting both goals in the 2-1 win over George Washington (Oct. 21).

Hartwick is coming off a strong 2015 season in which it went 11-6-3. The Hawks went a perfect 5-0-0 against conference opponents and went on to earn a Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

The Hawks compete against teams all along the east coast while competing in the Sun Belt. This season, their two conference road contests are against Georgia Southern (Oct. 22) and Georgia State (Oct. 29).

This is the third consecutive season the Bonnies will take on Hartwick. Last season, the Hawks came out on top against the Bonnies, 1-0, on Aug. 31.

The Bonnies' home opener will take place on Sunday as they take on Bucknell at the Marra Athletics Fields Complex. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
