LAST TIME OUT
SBU fell to visiting La Salle, 3-0, on Saturday evening in the Atlantic 10 home opener at the Marra Athletics Fields Complex. After a nearly even opening 25 minutes, the Explorers (5-7-1, 1-2-0 Atlantic 10) finally broke through with a header goal from Andrew Connors. La Salle's leading scorer seized a cross from Mike Liska and found the net from close range for the 1-0 edge. That score would hold until the early portion of the second period when Liska created more offense for the Explorers. The sophomore crossed into the center of the box in the 49th minute where his pass found Ryan Nork who would slide a shot into the lower 90 for a 2-0 advantage. SBU created several strong chances in the final 20 minutes, led by a header from Kieran Toland off the crossbar, but could not break through.
