ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team's weekend schedule has been altered: instead of hosting Marist Friday afternoon, the Bonnies will now welcome Canisius to the Marra Athletics Complex Sunday.
The Marist game has been canceled due to Marist's campus-wide pause following virus safety protocols. While that MAAC game will not happen as scheduled, the Bonnies will still have the opportunity to play this weekend - St. Bonaventure and Canisius will play Sunday at 4 p.m. in a contest that will not count toward the MAAC standings.
The Bonnies and Griffs will be meeting for the second time this week. The first game was an entertaining battle as the Griffs held on for an 11-9 win Tuesday night in Buffalo despite four goals from Bona junior Sean Westley. St. Bonaventure led early and did not trail until the third quarter before Canisius rallied for the win in the battle between Little Three rivals.
These schedule changes leave Bona's game vs. Siena at home on April 24 as the last remaining MAAC game prior to the conference tournament which begins April 30.
FAN ATTENDANCE POLICY: No visiting fans are permitted on campus during the spring semester. Only St. Bonaventure students, staff and campus community members as well as two family members per St. Bonaventure student-athlete may attend home games.
