St. Bonaventure's men's lacrosse program has just 19 games under their belts, opening the doors before the 2019 season.
Despite the seeds of success on the field being freshly planted, off it, they're already seeing charitable contributions bloom.
"I think I set our initial goal of $5,000 and we blew it out of the water in 24 or 36 hours or something like that," said assistant coach Nico Capron.
Capron approached the Bonnies about doing a little more than just playing games. He asked his freshly picked squad to take part in the LAX Stache Madness last November.
"We ended up raising nearly $15,000 as a team for the first year ever. Doing it was incredible and I think we came in fourth of 88 teams," Capron said.
