Three members of the initial recruiting class for St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse recently took to the national stage by playing in the GEICO Lacrosse Nationals.
Future Bonnies Brodie Anderson, Brett Dobson and Sean Westley helped The Hill Academy (Ontario, Canada) to its second consecutive GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals championship by defeating Salisbury School (Salisbury, Conn.) in Washington, D.C. on May 29 by a 15-12 score. The Hill also defeated Culver (Ind.) and St. Sebastian's (Mass.) in earlier rounds to secure the title.
The championship game aired on ESPNU, giving both the future Bonnies and their program national exposure. St. Bonaventure had the second-most incoming recruits participating in the Nationals championship of any program.
In the title game, Dobson earned the win by making 16 saves.
St. Bonaventure will play its first Division I men's lacrosse games in spring 2019.
