During his time on staff, the Bonnies have had some of their best seasons as a program.

In 2018-19, the Bonnies continued their rise in the conference led by senior Brent Morgan who finished the year with a scoring average of 73.03, second-lowest in program history while sophomore Danny Gianniny's average season score of 73.39 is third-lowest. The Bonnies also remained in contention until the final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships before settling for a seventh-place finish. All but one of the players on the roster were named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and the team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.598, highest on campus. Following the year the Bonnies were honored by the NCAA for ranking in the top 10 percent of the country in Academic Progress Rate (APR). As a team in 2018-19, the Bonnies averaged a tournament team score of 295.29 which is the second-lowest average total in program history.

He became an assistant coach with the Bonnies in fall 2016 and helped St. Bonaventure to its best season in recent memory during the 2017-18 campaign as the team captured three tournament victories - the most for Bona since 2007. During the season, the Bonnies captured a six-stroke victory in a field of 17 teams at the Towson Spring Invitational as well as repeated as champions in another 17-team field for the Binghamton Intercollegiate. St. Bonaventure won its second consecutive Little Three Championship and also won the first-ever Murray Cup in head-to-head action with Siena. The Bonnies also took their best-ever finish in the Atlantic 10 Match Play Championship by tying for third after knocking off top-seeded Dayton in the first round and then tying Florida Atlantic. A fourth-place finish at the Cornell Invitational and eighth-place showing at the prestigious Kingsmill Intercollegiate also highlighted a tremendous season. Freshman Danny Gianniny tied the program record by being named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week four times while junior Brent Morgan also captured an A-10 Golfer of the Week nod.
