Chapman's 73, Gianniny's Top-10 Highlight Final Day at Golden Horseshoe

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The St. Bonaventure golf team finished tied for 11th out of 16 teams at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, highlighted by a 10th-place showing from senior Danny Gianniny.

The Bonnies totaled team scores of 305-290-302 for an 897 total to tie with Radford on the team leaderboard. VCU won the team title with a score of 859 for the 54-hole tournament at the Golden Horseshoe Gold Course, four shots better than Old Dominion. William & Mary (871), George Washington (872) and Richmond (872) rounded out the top five.

Gianniny led the Bonnies for the week with a 216 total, finishing up the tournament with a 4-over 74 Tuesday. With the effort, he captured his first top-10 of the year in the 88-player field.

Freshman Jude Cummings (75-74-77/226) was solid for the week, finishing in a tie for 45th overall.

Senior Christian Chapman had the low round of the day for the team in Tuesday's final 18, wrapping up with a 3-over 73 to complete a comeback from an opening round 82 which was followed by a second round 72.

Also in the lineup for the Bonnies were senior Jack Geise (78-74-78/230) and junior Andrew Lemay (80-84-87/251).

The Bonnies are next in action April 12-13 at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Villanova in Philadelphia at Radnor Valley Country Club.
