Randall Tabbed As Bonnies Golf Assistant Coach

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure golf head coach Ryan Swanson has announced the addition of accomplished PGA professional Dwayne Randall to the program as an assistant coach.

Randall, a PGA Class A Professional, brings over two decades of pro experience into his role assisting the Bonnies golfers and he currently serves as the head golf pro at Bartlett Country Club in Olean. He has overseen all operations at Bartlett, the home course for the Bonnies, since January 2019 when he arrived after serving the previous 11 years as director of golf at Peek 'n Peak Resort in Chautauqua County.

"We are excited to welcome Dwayne to our Bonaventure family. Like many of us do, he has fallen in love with this place since his arrival in Olean," Swanson said. "He brings a winning culture and incredible playing background and experience to our program. He's someone our guys can really look up to and bounce questions off of. He will be invaluable on the course during practice rounds and in tournaments. We look forward to returning to competition in the spring and having him help us chase an Atlantic 10 title."

In addition to his golf course work, Randall is a decorated professional player who has won Western New York PGA Player of the Year honors several times: each year between 2009 and 2012, and again in 2014 and 2018. He first turned pro in 1996 and has qualified for the PGA National Championship 12 times. He has won more than 100 section tournaments and recorded four rounds of 59.

In addition to his recognized playing ability, Randall has served on the Western New York PGA Board of Directors since 2014 and currently serves as the WNY PGA Tournament Chairman. He has also been a past recipient of Golf Professional of the Year (2017) and Merchandiser of the Year (2011).

At the Peak, he reconfigured the Upper Course layout among other duties including the creation of the Peak Academy Golf School.

Prior to his work in Western New York, he was the first assistant golf professional at Sand Ridge Golf Club in Chardon, Ohio, for three years while handling a variety of duties including the instruction of golfers of all ages. He also worked as a PGA teaching professional in Lake County, Ohio as well as held the title of head golf pro at the Snyder Park Golf Course in Springfield, Ohio.
