MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure golf team finished second while freshman Nolan Ditcher tied for third on the individual leaderboard as play wrapped up at the Colonial Golf Classic at Montour Heights Country Club.
The Bonnies shot 314 as a team on Tuesday, finishing the tournament with a 619 total. Host Robert Morris took the team victory with a 605 total score. St. Bonaventure entered the day leading after Monday's 305 score, but the Colonials were able to rally with a strong score of 293 in the final round.
Ditcher, the tournament leader after the first round, took his career-best individual finish after carding 72-78/150 for the tournament. The Randolph native closed just two shots back of tournament winner Conner Watt of Humber College (75-73/148).
Brent Morgan (75-86/161) and Zach Chaddock (80-81/161) each tied for 25th overall. Playing as an individual, Patrick Sheerer turned in the second-best score of the day in the entire field, finishing with a Tuesday 73 to go 78-73/151 and place sixth overall for the week.
St. Bonaventure returns to action next Monday-Tuesday at the Rhode Island Invitational.
