Bonnies Ink Guard Eddie Creal To National Letter of Intent

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Eddie Creal, a 6-foot-4 guard from Illinois, has signed has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend St. Bonaventure University, Bonnies head coach Mark Schmidt announced. Creal, a junior college transfer from Moberly Area Community College (Missouri) will have two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2020-21 season.

Creal's NLI was signed on Wednesday, the first day of the official NCAA spring signing period.

"We are thrilled to have Eddie joining our program," Schmidt said. "He is an attacking wing that can score at all three levels, is a lockdown defender and can compete on the offensive glass. We look forward to getting him on campus with the rest of our guys."

Creal averaged 15.1 points, six rebounds and two assists per game in 2019-20 while shooting over 58 percent from the floor. He was key in leading Moberly to a 27-6 record, the NJCAA Region 16 championship and the NJCAA District 4 title. He was one of two players on the Moberly roster to earn both First Team All-Region and First Team All-Missouri Community College Athletic conference honors.

A native of the Chicago suburb of Joliet, Creal helped his team qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament prior to the coronavirus shutdown with a Top 25 national ranking.

In his freshman season at Western Wyoming CC, he produced 16 points along with seven rebounds per contest in 29 games.

He joins prep forward Quintin Metcalf as well as junior guard Jalen Adaway, who sat last year as a transfer, as newcomers on the roster for the upcoming season.
